This package contains two macros that can be used for DNA or RNA extraction (content derivation).
This package contains the following:
- Two content types:
- Two macros to extract samples within a single step of type Derive content:
- DNA extraction
- RNA extraction
- Two custom fields on Content:
- Volume: A field of type quantity and dimension Volume, with default unit µl.
- Concentration: A field of type quantity and dimension Concentration, with default unit ng/μl.
How to use the package
The macros can be set to inactive if they are not used in the lab.
The description of the step and name and description of the macros can be adjusted to use names consistent with those used in the lab.
The macro is already set up so that the user has to specify a new location and the position is reused from the parent during macro execution. This behavior can be adjusted to more closely match the lab use.
Each macro has the content type field filled up with the target type and only the volume field is shown during execution. This behavior can be adjusted to commonly used values in the lab and additional custom fields can be added to the derivation form for the user to fill out during the derivation.
